Our Programs

At Global Street Connect, our programs are designed to address the most pressing challenges faced by marginalized, disadvantaged, and underprivileged children across Asia. By focusing on education, healthcare, safety, and inclusion, we aim to create meaningful, lasting change in the lives of children and their communities.

Below are some of the key initiatives that reflect our commitment to transforming lives through innovative and evidence-based solutions.

Hope On Wheel

Hope on Wheels is a mobile healthcare initiative by Global Street Connect, launched to provide essential medical services to street-connected children who are often excluded from formal healthcare systems.

Operating in busy urban hubs like Kamalapur Railway Station and Sadarghat, our mobile health camps deliver:
– Free medical checkups
– Basic treatment and first aid
– Free medicine
– Health and hygiene awareness
– Mental health referrals when needed

We partner with medical professionals and grassroots volunteers to reach children where they live — on sidewalks, under flyovers, near transport terminals — and offer them care, dignity, and a sense of belonging.

The clinics run fortnightly, ensuring consistent access to health support for the most vulnerable. More than just medical help, Hope on Wheels is a symbol of presence — a sign that someone sees them, someone cares.

Stop The Bleed

Empowering Street-Connected Children with Lifesaving Skills

Stop the Bleed is a community-based health literacy initiative by Global Street Connect, designed to teach street-connected children the basics of emergency bleeding control — a critical, often life-saving skill in the environments they live in.

Children living and working on the streets frequently witness or experience injuries from road accidents, violence, or unsafe work conditions. In many cases, timely first response can mean the difference between life and death.

Through hands-on workshops, visual demonstrations, and a mix of online and offline training modules, our Stop the Bleed program teaches children how to:
– Identify life-threatening bleeding
– Apply direct pressure to wounds
– Use simple materials to make a tourniquet
– Call for help or direct others to do so
– Stay calm and respond effectively in emergencies

The approach is child-friendly, visual, and practice-oriented — ensuring that the knowledge is easy to understand and immediately usable, even in resource-limited settings.

Stop the Bleed is not just a training — it’s a step toward resilience, self-protection, and a safer tomorrow for street-connected children.

Research and Data Collection

Driving Change Through Knowledge

Our programs are not just about immediate impact—they are also opportunities to collect critical data that can inform policies, guide our strategies, and shape future programs.

This data not only strengthens our own programs but also serves as a valuable resource for policymakers, researchers, and other organizations working to improve child welfare.
