Championing Hope Beyond the Streets
Global Street Connect is dedicated to making sure that street-connected children and adolescents in Bangladesh are cared for and supported. Using research-based, community-centred solutions, we bring essential services like healthcare, mental health support, protection, education, and advocacy straight to the streets where the need is often greatest, and access can be limited.
Our programmes are designed to respond swiftly to urgent crises while also working towards lasting change. Whether it’s Hope on Wheels providing mobile primary healthcare or mobile and tele-mental health services that address unseen trauma, we believe that good health should be a right for everyone, not just a privilege. We give adolescent girls vital health information to help them thrive, strengthen communities through Compassionate Responders, and strive to protect children from violence, exploitation, and neglect. Alongside these direct services, we also push for systemic change— making sure street-connected children are recognised, heard, and included in the policies that affect their future.
Our long-term goal is both bold and straightforward: to reduce preventable suffering, boost resilience, break cycles of inequality, and help children transition from just surviving to thriving with stability, dignity, and opportunities. By combining urgent care with education, protection, and advocacy, we work towards a future where healthier children help build stronger communities—and where positive change extends well beyond the streets.
